The main character Harvey Milk ,played by Sean Penn, was 70s activist fighting for his own gay rights on the political battlefield. He was facing homophobia as well as fear of coming out amongst the LGBT comunity.There are reviews that compare MILK with Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain. There is one similarity between these completely different movies - they are both about gay people.
