Dear friends,
we would like to inform you, that 50k funding towards the costs of gay and lesbian film festival Mezipatra was refused today. Despite the recommendation by panel for culture, Mr. Roman Onderka - the mayor of Brno did not support the funding.
The argument that the festival Mezipatra could get funding elsewhere is shocking. This logic could be applied to all projects funded by the city, lets just hope this wont happen and other non commercial events will be able to continue their activites.
