ad 1. Homophobia – educational material for schools (discussion, proposals)
Fighting Homophobia is one of the priorities of the Ministry for Human Rights and Minorities. The theme of Homophobia should be a part of fighting extremism - project being prepared by the Minitry of current affairs. L. Otáhalová presented potential activities of the working group:
- collaboration with NGOs on monitoring homophobia
- collaboration with the police – education
- scollaboration with schools – educational material about homophobia
M. Kocáb noted at the beginning that the first aim is finding out the state of homophobia in Czech.
ideas:
1. Educational material about homophobia would be directed at academic experts (target group)
2. Pursue a requirement to the Ministry of Current Affairs to allocate 1No. policeman/woman to monitor homophobia.
3. Elaboration of directions on self defence when faced with homophobia . This instruction to be available on-line.
ad 2. Exclusion of Civil Partnership from the amendments to the Code of Civil Laws
Minister Kocáb was informed about the fact. Minister Kocáb would be supportive to a disapproving statement. J. Wintr will work out the statement. The statement will be presented on the website of the Panel for Human Rights. Ministr Kocab will be introduced to this statement, if identified with, it will be supported by his personal statement which will be sent to the head of Legislative Panel of Czech Government. Further it was agreed that PS will release an information into press before the Governments hearings about the Code of Civil Law.
